The young Johnny Blaze makes a deal with Mephisto to save his Father, unfortunately, his Father dies nonetheless. Blaming Mephisto for it, Johnny leaves his friends and family to prevent him from hurting anyone else in his life. Years later, Mephisto's son, Blackheart, comes to rule Earth. With no other choice, Mephisto turns to Johnny, turning him into the Ghost Rider, becoming the first time a rider has ever had the responsibility of a hero.
