Ilan Eshkeri (born 7 April 1977) is a British composer. His catalogue of film scores includes Still Alice, Stardust, The Young Victoria, Layer Cake, and Kick-Ass. He also composed music for the video game The Sims 4 and numerous concert works.
The story tells of Jin Sakai, a samurai on a quest to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. Jin must choose between following the warrior code to fight honorably, or using practical but dishonorable methods of repelling the Mongols with minimal casualties.
