Ian Somerhalder (born December 8, 1978) is an American model, former actor and producer and founder of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. He is best known for playing Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries and Boone Carlyle in Lost.
The plot is based on five books by Martin (Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance With Dragons). The first season is based on a book Game of Thrones.
