Penny's older sister, who happens to be the daughter of former Gym Leader Peony. Though she can't stand her father and his constant attempts to drag her into his "adven-tours", the two are a lot more alike than they realize: they're both adventurous and love ancient legends, and though they want to be close to their family, they tend to not understand each other well enough to do so. Recently, Peonia's taken interest into the phenomenon of Magimaxing and came to Galar to investigate it. She claims it's because she wants the thrill of fighting a Magimaxed Pokemon, but she also has a secret ulterior motive: getting her younger sister Penny out of the house and cheering her up by taking on a grand adventure, so she can get her mind off of whatever caused her to stop studying in Paldea.
