David Filoni (born June 7, 1974) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter currently serving as the chief creative officer of Lucasfilm. He directed multiple episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender before being hired by George Lucas to oversee direction on the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as directing and writing numerous episodes, including its theatrical film. He was the creator of the follow-up series Star Wars Rebels and served as a supervising director, executive producer, and writer. Filoni is the creator, executive producer, and sole writer of the live-action miniseries Ahsoka and is an executive producer on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Skeleton Crew. Filoni is also the creator and executive producer of the animated series Star Wars Resistance, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Tales of the Jedi, and an executive producer of the web series Star Wars Forces of Destiny. Filoni is an executive vice president at Lucasfilm and in 2023 accepted a promotion to chief creative officer. Aquí Palpatine es el villano principal y Cad Bane queda como secundario. El hijo de Gaff nace pese a la muerte de Qi’ra; unos droides lo crían hasta que Gaff lo descubre años después (tras Skeleton Crew T2) y empieza a cuidarlo, recordando constantemente a su esposa. Al final del episodio 2 (de 18), un hombre encapuchado entra en casa y saluda al niño: es un clon de Palpatine, que lo secuestra creyendo que tiene habilidades especiales por haber nacido de un útero muerto (escena estilo postcréditos de 4F con Doom). La temporada trata sobre Gaff intentando rescatar a su hijo, mientras se revela el trasfondo de los clones de Palpatine, culminando con su hibernación por falta de energía, anticipando el Ep. IX. Rhea Seehorn interpreta a Rhea, psicóloga e interés amoroso de Gaff. Él muere al final enfrentando a Palpatine, revelando sus poderes y sacrificándose para salvar a su hijo, con una muerte similar a la del Emperador en El Retorno del Jedi.
