Megan Jovon Ruth Pete (born February 15, 1995), known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion, is an American rapper and singer. Originally from Houston, Texas, she first garnered attention when videos of her freestyling became popular on social media platforms such as Instagram. Megan Thee Stallion signed to 300 Entertainment in 2018, where she released the mixtape Fever (2019) and the extended play Suga (2020), both of which reached the top ten of the Billboard 200. Her ‘Tina Snow’ single “Big Ole Freak” was her first to crack the Hot 100, peaking at No. 65 in May 2019, while the EP peaked at No. 166 on the Billboard 200. Standalone single “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign would climb the Hot 100, topping out at No. 11 in August 2019. Megan dropped her debut studio album, ‘Good News,’ in November 2020, and it reached No. 2, with single “Body” making it to No. 12. “Savage,” off EP ‘Suga,’ became her first Hot 100 No. 1, reaching the summit in March 2020. Her feature on Cardi B’s “WAP” also topped the chart in August that year. Sophomore album ‘Traumazine’ arrived in 2022 and peaked at No. 4. Megan Thee Stallion has worked with various artists during her career, including Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X and more. She received the Powerhouse Award at the 2019 Billboard Women in Music, and has won several Grammys, including best new artist and best rap song for “Savage” in 2021. Also in 2021, she signed an exclusive first-look deal at Netflix, to create and executive produce new series and other projects. She guest starred in the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as a fictionalized version of herself and went on to make her theatrical debut in the first ever A24 musical movie “Dicks The Musical” in 2023. In 2024, she made a small cameo in the broadway adaptation of Mean Girls, playing another fictional version of herself and being apart of the movie’s soundtrack.

Universal has announced that DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is set to be released in theaters on September 26th, 2025. The movie is based on the live action/CGI Netflix series Gabby’s Dollhouse, created by Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey. The series centers on twelve year old Gabby, who uses her magic cat ears to shrink down to the size of a toy with her stuffed toy, Pandy Paws, who comes to life, and goes on various adventures inside her dollhouse. The activity based series encourages flexible thinking and learning from your mistakes. In the movie, Gabby is going with her Grandma Gigi on a trip to Cat Francisco. During the trip, her dollhouse ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera. Now she has to set off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late.
