The movie opens with the return of Clay Miller, who is still searching for his missing sister, Whitney, whom Jason Voorhees abducted in the previous movie. He tracks down the rumored location of her body and sets out to find her. Meanwhile, a group of teenagers, including Pam, Rennie, Jack, and Sissy, arrive at Crystal Lake for a weekend of camping and partying.
