Derek Mears (born April 29, 1972) is an American actor and stuntman, best known for his role as Jason Voorhees in the reboot of Friday the 13th.
Decades after the events of Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood, a millionaire buys the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake and renovates it into a resort/tourist attraction using Jason’s legend for profit. But this awakens the undead Jason allowing him to slash through a new generation of victims.
