In an alternate universe, Coppola has had enough & decides to scrap the troublesome production of Apocalypse Now ; instead, he starts working on an original script for a mind-bending psychological thriller. The movie subsequently earns positive reviews & enjoys a decent run at the box-office ; tragically, it also features the final performance of Coppola's longtime collaborator John Cazale, for whom the movie is dedicated to.
