Samuel Henry John Worthington (born 2 August 1976) is an Australian actor. He is known for playing Jake Sully in the Avatar franchise (2009–present), Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation (2009), and Perseus in Clash of the Titans (2010) and its sequel Wrath of the Titans (2012). He has taken other dramatic roles, appearing in The Debt (2010), Everest (2015), Hacksaw Ridge (2016), The Shack (2017), Manhunt (2017), and Fractured (2019). He has received Australia's highest film award three times for his leading roles in Bootmen (2000), Somersault (2004), and Avatar (2009). On television, Worthington appeared in Australia as Howard in Love My Way and Phillip Schuler in the television drama mini-series Deadline Gallipoli, for which he was also an executive producer. He voiced the protagonist, Captain Alex Mason, in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and its sequels Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018). Five Nights at Freddy's: A Nightmare's Wrath is a 2024 American epic action film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it is the second installment in the High Legion film series. The film stars an ensemble cast including Dwayne Johnson, Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor, Hugh Jackman, Jeremy Irons, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Lawrence, Danny Glover, Sam Worthington, Tika Sumpter, and Laurence Fishburne. In the film, Golden Freddy (Johnson) has become much more skilled in combat and much wiser, only to find that he is also discovering a darker side to himself. Nightmare (reprised by Irons from The Five Nights at Freddy's: The Nightmare Ends) escapes from his lifelong imprisonment to resume his war on humanity. A Nightmare's Wrath was released on July 20th, 2024, to generally positive reviews, with praise for its visual effects, action sequences, performances (namely Johnson, Portman, Irons, and Fishburne), storyline, Hans Zimmer's score, and emotional set pieces. It became the highest-grossing film of 2024, grossing $916 million worldwide, and was a huge financial success. A back-to-back sequel, The Knight of Springtrap, was released a year later.
