Mexican singer and Estelita’s first husband. He's also Nina's father. He married Estelita when she was eighteen years old and she moved to Mexico to be with him. When Estelita becomes pregnant, he forces her to choose between him or her career and refuses to have his wife be the center of attention from men who are not him, causing their relationship to strain. While he wasn't in Nina's life, he decides to spend time with her in Mexico City only to kidnap her and leave her alone with an alcoholic and his wife.
