Former pro-wrestler and newly elected Mayor of Metro City, Mike Haggar finds his hands full juggling between cracking down on Metro City's infamous crime rate, and looking out for his beautiful daughter, Jessica. One day, he receives the phone call that changed his world. The Mad Gear Gang, vile criminals who have a history of controlling Metro City through violence and intimidation, have decided to kidnap Jessica and hold her hostage as a message for Mayor Haggar. Mayor Haggar reluctantly recruits Cody Travers, a street brawler and Jessica's boyfriend; and Guy, Cody's gym buddy, a Japanese American immigrant versed in an ancient form of Ninjitsu. Together, the three take matters into their own hands. Based on the Capcom beat em up franchise.
