LaKeith Lee Stanfield (born August 12, 1991) is an American actor. He made his feature film debut in Short Term 12 (2013), for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. He received further recognition for his roles in the films Get Out (2017), Sorry to Bother You (2018), Uncut Gems (2019), Knives Out (2019), and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), the lattermost of which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Stanfield has also appeared in the films Selma (2014), Dope (2015), Straight Outta Compton (2015), Crown Heights (2017), The Photograph (2020), The Harder They Fall (2021), Haunted Mansion (2023), and The Book of Clarence (2023). On television, he starred in the series Atlanta (2016–2022), for which he won a Black Reel Award for Television, and in the horror series The Changeling (2023–present). Former pro-wrestler and newly elected Mayor of Metro City, Mike Haggar finds his hands full juggling between cracking down on Metro City's infamous crime rate, and looking out for his beautiful daughter, Jessica. One day, he receives the phone call that changed his world. The Mad Gear Gang, vile criminals who have a history of controlling Metro City through violence and intimidation, have decided to kidnap Jessica and hold her hostage as a message for Mayor Haggar. Mayor Haggar reluctantly recruits Cody Travers, a street brawler and Jessica's boyfriend; and Guy, Cody's gym buddy, a Japanese American immigrant versed in an ancient form of Ninjitsu.
