In the kingdom of Lucis, magic is not a gift — it is a birthright. For generations, the royal line has protected the world’s last Crystal, a divine source of power that shields the realm from darkness. But when the ruthless empire of Niflheim shatters a fragile peace treaty and invades the crown city, the balance of the world collapses overnight. Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum — young, reluctant, and untested — is thrust into exile alongside his three closest companions: the steadfast warrior Gladiolus Amicitia, the brilliant strategist Ignis Scientia, and the loyal sharpshooter Prompto Argentum. As they journey across breathtaking lands of soaring mountains, neon-lit highways, and ancient ruins, Noctis learns the truth of his destiny: he is the Chosen King, foretold to sacrifice everything to bring light back to a dying world. Meanwhile, the enigmatic and theatrical Ardyn Izunia manipulates events from the shadows, orchestrating chaos with a smile and pushing Noctis toward a fate darker than death itself. Bound by brotherhood and tested by loss, the four friends must confront colossal summons, imperial war machines, and the weight of prophecy. In the end, the greatest battle is not against an empire — but against despair. In a world consumed by night… one king will rise.
