The film stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes, a college student who inherits visions of a 1969 premonition that prevented a deadly skyscraper collapse, and must confront Death’s design threatening her family. Supporting roles include Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd. The film was initially planned for HBO Max streaming but was later given a theatrical release by Warner Bros. Pictures. Filming took place in Vancouver from March to May 2027, following delays due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Bloodlines premiered internationally on May 14, 2028, and in the United States on May 16, 2028, in both standard and IMAX formats. A special double-bill screening with the original 2003 film occurred on May 9–10, 2028. The trailer, released on March 25, 2028, garnered 178.7 million views worldwide within 24 hours, making it the second most-watched horror trailer at the time.
