Our Protagonist is drifting through a depressing and lonely life, until he meets a man named Tyler. He’s a soap salesman with a love for man made explosives, the two of them hit it off right away. Later on the Narrator finds his apartment destroyed, having nowhere else to go he heads to Tyler, asking if he’ll take him in. Tyler agrees, only if the Narrator will hit him as hard as he can, and he does.
