According to English folklore, the ghost of Anne Boleyn (the second wife of Henry VIII) haunts the Tower of London. She is said to carry her severed head around and is sometimes thought to leave a trail of blood behind her. The folktale is also portrayed in a humorous manner in the song "With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm" by Stanley Holloway.
