Coconut (also called Coconut Chip) is a West Highland White Terrier who was available as an accessory from American Girl, marketed as "An American Girl's Best Friend." She was first released as a plush by American Girl in 2000 (although she was marketed as male upon initial release). She served as a sort of mascot for the modern "American Girl of Today" line (known by various names over the years but currently called "Truly Me") for most of the 2000s. She was retired in 2016 after the revamp of the doll-sized pets sold by American Girl, however, she returned in 2022 under the name Coconut Chip.
