One of the main characters from the Netflix series Dead Boy Detectives (2024), portrayed by Jayden Revri. Charles is one of the two leading detectives in the series, and is essentially "the brawn" of the Dead Boy Detectives agency who's escaped Hell (and Death) to help other ghosts in need. Charles died in 1989 after being attacked by bullies at St. Hilarion’s. He became friends with Edwin Payne’s ghost, choosing to stay with him rather than following Death to the afterlife. Although Charles is not as clever and knowledgeable as Edwin Payne, his presence of mind and fearlessness in the face of grave danger make him an incredible dead boy detective. Friendly and enthusiastic, Charles tries to be exceedingly charming, but also prefers to confront problems head-on, armed with a magical cricket bat that is imbued with the power of hurting and warding off malevolent forces.
