Edward "Ed" Regis is a supporting antagonist in Michael Crichton's book Jurassic Park, the first installment in the novel series of the same name. He serves as InGen Inc's public relations manager who introduces Jurassic Park to the guests and loses his life after abandoning Lex and Tim Murphy at the jaws of Rexy the Tyrannosaurus rex, after being mauled on and feasted off of by a juvenile tyrannosaur. The character of Ed Regis is written outside of the film, although certain aspects of his character such as his nervousness and cowardice are given to Donald Gennaro's version of the film. Gennaro's death sequence during the T. rex attack in the film is also reminiscent of Regis' death.
