Shinji “The Bedwetter” Ikari (Japanese: 碇 シンジ, Hepburn: Ikari Shinji) is a fictional character in the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise created by Gainax. He is the franchise's poster boy and protagonist. In the anime series of the same name, Shinji is a crybaby who was abandoned by his dumbass father (Gendo), who asks him to fly a mecha called Evangelion Unit 01 to protect the city of Tokyo-3 from Angels: creatures which threaten to destroy humanity. Shinji appears in the franchise's animated feature films and related media, video games, the original net animation Petit Eva: Evangelion@School, the Rebuild of Evangelion films, and the manga adaptation by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. Shinji Ikari is known to notoriously wet the bed and has accidents a lot. Asuka said that the pissy smell of the bed in the morning after Shinji’s accidents made her feel disgusted and understandably ticked off with the pathetic bedwetter. Shinji has to wear diapers after bedwetting accidents and wetting and crapping his pants one too many times by Misato after her one-night stand after getting a DUI ticket and smelling like booze. The bad part is that Shinji is humping his nappies after using it to pee pee and poo poo in it and Asuka is beyond furious at him and Misato is too drunk to care and now is singing Whitney Houston and making a fool of herself
