Carson Napier is a fictional protagonist created by Edgar Rice Burroughs for his Venus series, which is often referred to as the Carson Napier of Venus series. Born in India to a British army officer and an American mother, Napier was raised under the guidance of a Hindu mystic who trained him in telepathy and mental projection. He uses this telepathic ability to transmit his story back to Burroughs on Earth.
