Luke Van Damme (born on July, the 1st 1996), also known as Human Icicle is a Dutch American student at Xavier high school and the son of a renowned scientist who experimented with cryogenic technology and one of the tritagonists of the Chargeshock Thompson & the Justice Avengers series created by Man of Action. An accident during one of these experiments granted Luke his ice powers. Appearance He is tall and lean, with shaggy blond hair and icy blue eyes. He often wears a blue hoodie, dark jeans, and winter boots in his casual attire. In his superhero form, Luke dons a light blue suit that has a crystalline design, complete with a mask that covers his eyes and forehead. Personality Luke is calm, witty, and somewhat sarcastic, often using humor to diffuse tense situations. He is intelligent and resourceful, often coming up with creative solutions to challenges and also showing his science whiz nature. While he can be seen as aloof or stoic, he deeply cares about his friends and will step up in moments of danger. He also shares similarities with most of the team. Like Jake/Chargeshock, he's got a snarky tongue and is also a science whiz. Like Liam, he is highly intelligent, though sometimes reserved and pretty introverted. Like Sally, he lost his mother in an accident (although, Sally lost her father too). Powers and Abilities Powers Cryokinesis: Human Icicle can generate, manipulate and fully control ice, snow and cold temperatures, he can use his mutant ability to control moisture such as to freeze any air moisture into super-hard ice. This ice can be formed into any object of his choosing: the only limitations are his own imagination and the ambient air temperature which determines how long his ice sculpture will stay icy. He does not have to hold the ice physically with his hands in order to shape it. Apparently, he can simply direct the waves of coldness he projects in certain ways so as to create ice in the shape he desires. In the past, Human Icicle has formed ice-ladders, ice-slides, ice-shields, ice-domes, ice-bolts, ice-blasts, ice-beams and other constructs of ice. Human Icicle has created constructs of ice so powerful that he was able to easily encase and contain the likes of Electro Monster with him being unable to break out of it for quite some time. On at least one occasion, he has even been shown make it snow or cause a blizzard. He can also unfreeze matter. Organic-Ice Form: Ability to not only cover his body with ice, but to actually become organic ice. Though the appearance is similar, Iceman is now actually translucent in his ice form. Human Icicle is virtually indestructible in this form, allowing him to reform his body should it become shattered. He has been incinerated while in human form and was able to rebuild himself. In his ice form, he is able to use the moisture in the air to form spikes, shields and attach other extra appendages to his body. Abilities Calculative intelligence: Along with his fighting skills, Luke is very intelligent (a trait he inherited from his father) and skilled in the art of tactics. This is best seen as when he was confronted by Electro Monster, he deduced the latter got exposed by Jake/Chargeshock until the latter found a loophole to strike a nerve. When faced with an Icicle Android, he feigned surrender and his act allowed his clone to fall victim to his own weapon. Superhuman reflexes: Thanks to Luke's calculated intelligence, he is able to react faster than most humans. He manage to keep up with Dr. Tarantula in a fight and fighting him outside on a moving train. Trivia Luke lost his mother during one of his dad's experiments gone wrong. Electro Monster has created mass-produced robots called Icicle Androids, who are almost similar to Luke. Luke's character is based on Shadow The Hedgehog, Aqualad from Young Justice, Zane Julien from Ninjago and Iceman from the X-Men.
