King Aeetes is the king of Colchis. During the events of Jason and the Argonauts (1963) played by Jack Gwillim When Jason arrives, King Aeetes welcomes him and asks him to bring the rest of the Argonauts to his palace for dinner. While at dinner, King Aeetes accuses Jason of deceit and orders the Argonauts imprisoned.
