Professor Valerie Felicity Frizzle, PhD (sometimes known as "The Friz(z)" by her former students or simply "Val" by her friends and relatives) is a Jewish-American former fourth-grade schoolteacher at Walkerville Elementary, and the older sister of Ms. Fiona Frizzle. Across every medium, she is voiced by Lily Tomlin. In the upcoming stage musical, she will be played by Heidi Blickenstaff. In the upcoming live-action feature film, she will be played by Elizabeth Banks. However, it's unknown if the live-action movie will be based on Valerie's field trips or Rides Again with her sister.
