Mr. X is a character in The X-Files television series. Simply known by his codename "X", he was a member of the Men in Black and an informant to Fox Mulder after the death of Deep Throat. Although his real name was never revealed, he became known as "X" or "Mr. X" as Mulder would seek his assistance by marking an "X" in masking tape on his apartment window.
