First appeared in Big Bang Comics #9 in 1997. Chefren Ra was a member of the Memphian Science Corps from an alternate reality ruled by the Memphian dynasty who fled to another reality, where he took the identity of Peter Chefren, as well as becoming the superhero Sphinx.
