The hitchhiker is a young adult or teenager who was killed by whoever gave her a ride. Alison stumbles across her while trying to get home to Button House in order to stop thiefs. She greets the hitchhiker initially believing she's alive, but when she asks if Alison was murdered as well, she realizes her mistake and tries to politely walk away.
