Scar, formerly known as Taka, is the main antagonist of Disney's 1994 animated feature film The Lion King, and the deuteragonist-turned-supporting antagonist of Disney's 2001 direct-to-video prequel film Mufasa: The Lion King. He is the son of Obasi and Eshe, the best friend-turned-adoptive brother and later archenemy and murderer Mufasa, the former love interest and adoptive brother-in-law of Sarabi, the adoptive nephew and arch-nemesis of Simba, and the white lion Kiros, who is the reason why he was corrupted.
