Despereaux is a small, runty mouse. He is born in a castle a sickly mouse, with large ears and eyes. Despereaux is a very curious mouse who enjoys to read.
Obviously, don't nominate any human characters. Hybrids like Cheetah or The Lizard are okay, as are shapeshifters with one set animal form (eg Professor McGonagall.)
