Badger was the deuteragonist from Farthing Wood to White Deer Park in both the books and the TV series. He was one of the most respected members of the group and often acted as a peacemaker when the other animals argued. He also filled in as leader of the group when Fox goes missing.
Obviously, don't nominate any human characters. Hybrids like Cheetah or The Lizard are okay, as are shapeshifters with one set animal form (eg Professor McGonagall.)
