Zara is one of the main Furry Friends released in series 1 and re-released in series 2. She is Besties with Zoe. She is the star of the first episode in the animated series, Zara's Birthday Blues.
Obviously, don't nominate any human characters. Hybrids like Cheetah or The Lizard are okay, as are shapeshifters with one set animal form (eg Professor McGonagall.)
