Winter was an evolved albino western lowland gorilla; who served as a member of the Gorilla Guard and the protégé of Luca. But he turned on his fellow apes for his own survival and joined Colonel McCullough as a Donkey, a group of turncoat apes who served Alpha-Omega; which led to the ape's undoing.
