Fate/stay night follows Shirou Emiya, an amateur mage in Fuyuki City who gets dragged into the Fifth Holy Grail War. Seven mages (Masters) and their summoned historical/legendary heroes (Servants) fight in a death tournament for the Holy Grail, an omnipotent chalice capable of granting any wish.
