Silvani, understanding Fantozzi's infatuation, does not reciprocate but exploits it to obtain various favours. She somehow represents the stereotype of the woman who is objectively not beautiful, but considered wonderful by those who constantly have to deal with her and can't afford anything better (as in this case, obviously, happens to Fantozzi).
