Following the defeat of the Frightful Four and the terrorist attack by Lucia von Bardas, the Fantastic Four discovers that von Bardas was not acting independently of Latveria. In fact, they find out that Reed's oldest rival, Victor von Doom, has been pulling the strings behind everything that has happened to them so far. But Doom's manipulations run deeper than they seem.
