Imprisoned deep within the fortress is the Siver Surfer, a cosmic traveler whose incredible power has been siphoned away by Doom. Having intercepted the Surfer upon his arrival to Earth, Victor stole his cosmic abilities in a reckless bid for ultimate power. Restored to his former strength, the Silver Surfer joins forces with the Fantastic Four for an epic battle against Doctor Doom, whose stolen cosmic might threatens not only Earth, but the balance of the universe itself. Though Doom is ultimately defeated, he escapes once again, leaving Latveria in ruins and his ambitions far from extinguished. Before departing the planet, Silver Surfer reveals the true reason for his arrival. He did not come to conquer Earth... He came to warn it. A force beyond imagination is already on its way. Galactus is coming.
