Mole Man tells the Four to escape. As they do, Reed makes an effort to rescue Doom, who is dangling from a ledge. Doom refuses and lets go, rather dying than to accept Reed’s help (he’ll be back don’t worry). The Fantastic Four escape the sinking Isle, Subterranea sealed off from the surface. Back home, Reed feels somewhat guilty for the way Victor turned out and it echoes the guilt he feels for his friends gaining powers. But they reassure him that they don’t resent him for it and still love him. Now after facing Doom, the family has grown more close than ever.
