Mufasa is a major character of 1994 animated feature film The Lion King, and the titular main protagonist of 2001 direct-to-video prequel film Mufasa: The Lion King. He was the son of Masego and Afia, adoptive older brother of Scar/Taka, father of Simba, and the grandfather of Kiara and Kopa.
