Three marks and you're gone. Every vampire knows they are doomed, all of them will go to Hell. The angels find them mark them. But there is dissention in the angels of the Heavenly Host Assignment Department (H.H.A.D.) and the Vampire Council is divided. Vampire Lilly Marchand and her vampire cat, Baron Bast von Samedi are caught up in the machinations of both groups. Her maker, Marcus Lancaster is the leader of the faction seeking to end the angel's hold over the vampires. He is prepared to do whatever he needs to, including kill, to further that aim. Archangel Mikhail, God's pick to run H.H.A.D, is coping not only with the disappearance of many angels but a brewing second war in Heaven, engineered between the vampires and the ruling faction of Hell. Marcus has a rival, a human who has no idea who he's messing with. On top of it, Lilly’s progeny, Sullivan Kilcoan, the former angel Eistered, is trying to get back to her and save her from Marcus, whether she wants it or not. He and the other “three musketeers” are fighting both the vampires and the angels. From New Orleans to Houston, to San Antonio to Russia and to Norway, the vampires, angels, demons, and vampiric angels fight each other for the liberation of the vampires, the custody of Heaven, and life itself. Who will come out the victor and what is the fate of Lilly and Baron?
