Elendil is a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. He was the father of Isildur and Anárion, last lord of Andúnië on the island of Númenor, leader of the Faithful, and a key figure in the Last Alliance of Elves and Men who fought Sauron at the end of the Second Age.
