Winnie is practical, peppery, proud and level-minded; but, despite her maturity, she enjoys playing practical jokes. Winnie is a very able workers, strong performer and handles any task well. She is capable of being firm with other big engines, such as Taylor and Sophie and even the trucks know better than to try their tricks on her. She is used to harsh winter conditions too. She pulls her weight on the Main Line and all the branch lines. She is happy to act as the brawn of the Iron Director's steam-driven freight haulers. Compared to her twin Wilma, Winnie tends to be the charming, witty joker.
