Fan Casting Cortes in F. Gary Gray's Kane & Lynch

Cortes is a Spanish mercenary serving under Cosgrove. He appears in the final Alaska act as part of the enemy team hunting Kane and Lynch. Cocky and ruthless, Cortes tackles Lynch and delivers a brutal round of kidney punches before jamming a gun barrel under his chin. But Lynch, in a moment of feral cunning, slashes Cortes' Achilles tendon with a fishing knife, crippling him. Unable to flee, Cortes pulls a grenade pin and hurls it at Lynch—only for the blast to incinerate himself when the grenade gets caught in a propeller's air current and spits back. His death is swift, stupid, and entirely self-inflicted.
