Ex Machina follows Caleb, a young programmer invited to spend a week with his company’s reclusive CEO, Nathan. Caleb learns he’s been brought there to perform a Turing-style test on Ava, a highly advanced artificial intelligence housed in a humanoid body. As Caleb grows closer to Ava, he begins to question Nathan’s intentions and the ethics behind her creation. What starts as a technical experiment turns into a psychological trap, with Caleb caught between a manipulative genius and an AI who may be far more aware—and far more dangerous—than he expected.
