PART 1: Cobra’s death causes major changes at the Court. Maria is looking for a suitable replacement, while inadvertently building herself a prison cell, and the Frenchman uses the opportunity to cause chaos. The church gets a new leader and the ringing of wedding bells signifies the arrival of a new king, but how good that is for the kingdom remains to be seen. Heather finds a friend in Fiona, while Warthorn is trying to figure out how to protect the inn and the squabbles within the King's guard become larger by the day. In the present, Professor Longfellow's plan starts coming together, as his henchmen kidnap Peter and Ox. PART 2: The rule of James Haywood quickly turns tyrannical and Heather starts concocting a plan with her allies in order to take him down, but it gets much harder when Scarpino kills Eric, taking his place as the captain of the King's guard, and allies with James, alongside Aspis and the Frenchman. Richard Longfellow is revealed to be Yakshashamu, a demon somehow simultaneously aware of his existence in both timelines, who is the mastermind behind the rift. The prequel aspect fully comes into focus as Warthorn's nephew, a humble Irish sailor arrives to the inn, and Yakshasha reveals the Frenchman's true purpose. Gerki, meanwhile, finally breaks his mental chains through the power of love.
