
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE | formerly known as Sony Computer Entertainment | SCE) is a multinational video game and digital entertainment company wholly owned by Japanese multinational conglomerate Sony. The SIE Group is made up of two legal corporate entities: Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE LLC) based in San Mateo, California, United States, and Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. (SIE Inc.), based in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo-based SIE Inc. was originally founded as Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI or SCE) in November 1993 to handle Sony's venture into video game development for the PlayStation systems. SIE LLC was established in San Mateo in April 2016, and is managed through Sony's American branch, Sony Corporation of America.

End of the Living is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Heretic Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. End of the Living is set in the 19th century alternate history post-apocalyptic United Kingdom in 1897 while the island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland remained uninfected during the Victorian era and follows the survivors and members of the English Benedictine Congregation (EBC) to battle the infected on the British mainland with a very contagious disease that induces homicidal rage after the accidental release from a laboratory in Cambridge or Oxford which results an epidemic that caused widespread societal collapse, leaving the survivors to endure both the infected and the consequences of a rapidly disintegrating society, following the evacuation orders of British Prime Minister Lord Salisbury with millions of British refugees left mainland Britain for the United States while the others including Queen Victoria, the Members of the Royal Family and Lord Salisbury himself had left Britain for Australia as part of the British Empire where the governor such as the Viscount Hampden, Henry Brand welcomed the Queen and the Prime Minister for a refuge in Canberra near New South Wales outside of Sydney.
