Christopher Michael Sanders (born March 12, 1962) is an American filmmaker, animator, and voice actor. His credits include Lilo & Stitch (2002) and its live-action adaptation and How to Train Your Dragon (2010), both of which he co-wrote and directed with Dean DeBlois; The Croods (2013) with Kirk DeMicco; and The Wild Robot (2024), receiving nominations for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for all of them. In 2020, he made his live-action directorial debut with the adventure drama The Call of the Wild. He created the character Stitch in 1985, wrote the film's story, and voiced Stitch in almost all his media appearances. In a magical world where the balance of nature is maintained by four ancient elemental relics—Earth, Water, Fire, and Air—a powerful and greedy sorcerer, Zoltar, seeks to harness all four elements to gain absolute control over the land. However, when his attempt to steal the relics backfires, the relics vanish, scattering to unknown corners of the world. The story follows Lina, a brave young girl from a humble village, who discovers that she has a mysterious connection to these ancient elements. After Zoltar’s actions throw the world into chaos, causing natural disasters and environmental upheaval, Lina embarks on an epic journey to recover the lost relics before Zoltar does. Lina is joined by an unlikely group of companions: Finn a mischievous adventurer with a hidden past; Olga , a wise yet quirky elder who knows the legends of the elements; and Gorrik, a gruff but kind-hearted warrior with a special bond to the Earth element. Together, they must traverse perilous lands, face mythical creatures, and outwit Zoltar’s forces to restore the balance of nature. Along the way, Lina discovers that her connection to the elements is stronger than she imagined, giving her control over the very forces of nature. But mastering this power comes with great responsibility. As the final battle against Zoltar looms, Lina must learn to trust herself and unite the elements before it's too late.
