Sam es la hija de Ginebra Nicoliti, pero en realidad, de bebe Sam fue sustraída del hospital donde nació y su verdadera mamá es Paz Roble Ruiz. Sam (Samara) crece rodeada por el amor de su papá Elías Barral, pero con el desprecio de Ginebra. Cuando Elías muere, Ginebra abandona a Sam a su suerte.
