After the events of Glass, Joseph, Mrs. Price, and Casey Cooke were being abducted by an 'acolyte' of Mr. Glass, Michael Burrows. Mrs. Price was unaware of him as her son wanted to keep it a secret. He explained that all of the events the happened during Glass, Split and Unbreakable were an experiment conducted by Mr. Glass. Mr. Glass wanted to understand whether a superhuman has his or her powers being genetic or learned. So, after the Eastrail 177 accident, which was an independent variable, the two dependent variables: David Dunn and Kevin Wendell Crumb were being researched on by him. David's powers were genetic whereas Kevin's was learned. However, this wasn't the purpose of the experiment. Mr. Glass actually wanted to reveal to the whole world that superpowers can happen by chance, whether it was built into DNA or through a certain event. His second agenda was to find humans who are overbearing and over-emotional: teenagers with super abilities. Once the video sent on the Internet by the three of them were released, Michael was actually notified that he needed to recruit superhumans as the organization: the Agency wanted a world where there is no such thing as superhumans wanted to hunt and kill them. Michael, Joseph, Mrs. Price, and Casey have to find around America a few individuals with this gift to stop the Agency.
