Alaa Safi is a French actor, director, and producer. He was the world champion in Tae Kwon Do at 18, then began his TV/Film career as an action actor and landed his first major role when he partnered with Jackie Chan in the movie Chinese Zodiac (2012). Since then, Alaa Safi has worked with multiple major studios such as Marvel's Doctor Strange (2016), The Mauritanian (2021), and most recently, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023). In addition to Alaa's film roles, he is also a series regular on the groundbreaking TV series The Chosen (2017). Alaa Safi began directing in 2020 with the short film Chrysalis (Short 2020), followed by Coming Home (2023), both of which have earned awards in American film festivals.
Florine Coquerel is charismatic, cunning and poised to become the new COO of her father's global energy empire – or so she thinks. When her father, Benoît Coquerel summons Florine and her brother, Stéphane, home to the family compound in Cannes, Florine is horrified to learn that the reunion isn't to announce her promotion – but rather to make the acquaintance of stepmother-to-be, Christine. However, the wealth and privilege of the Coquerels' world proves challenging to her, as she clashes with the staff, including Benoit's butler, Allain, as well as Florine, who all make it very clear Christine doesn't belong.
